Abandoned Places, Scottsdale, Arizona

Beeline Dragway
I recently explored the abandoned beeline dragway timing tower and found the gate open that once secured the location. The building is beat and covered in graffiti much like most abandoned locations throughout Arizona. The drag strip and parking lot concrete has been removed but the tower still stands. The old raceway was a popular race location in the 60s and 70s before they built the speedways we have today. I thought by now this location would have been demolished but since it sites abandoned on Indian Reservation there appears to be no need to destroy it.

The beeline building was torn down in the fall of 2015. Sad to see historical locations torn down after 60 years!.
