The Thing Roadside Attraction 
After seeing the freeway billboard for years, we decided to stop to see what the thing was all about. We paid a buck or two each to enter the doors in the gift shop. It has some old cars, furniture and trinkets along with these weird stick figures hanging all over. A real tourist trap out in the middle of nowhere.
The Thing? is an Arizona roadside attraction hyped by signs along Interstate 10 between El Paso, Texas, and Tucson, Arizona. Teaser ads, such as The Thing? What is it? and Mystery of the Desert, entice travelers along this sparse stretch of desert highway to stop, just to find out what the mysterious Thing? might be.
